Welcome to Paper Inkspirations!

Hi! My name is Krissy, welcome to my blog. I have been an avid paper-crafter for many years, my addiction started with scrapbooking and has evolved to card-making. It all started when I realized that I had forgotten to buy a card for my nephew's birthday. Looking at my ever-expanding collection of scrapbook supplies, I thought I'd made a card for him. Since then, I've been hooked on card-making and my scrapbooks have been collecting dust. Someday I'll get back to them... I have two beautiful boys and a wonderful & supportive husband and I work at the Preschool at our church. When I'm not spending time with my family or making cards, I enjoy being active in our church. Life is good! Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoy your visit.

Take time to get inky today....

Stampendous Gift Inspirations

This week, the Design Teams at Stampendous are bringing you some beautiful inspiration for gift giving.  I've seen some great projects featured already and it's only Wednesday!  Just wait until out big Gift Blog Hop on Saturday!  You'll have your holiday gifts made in no time!

The project I have for you today is one I made for Michaels Stamptember stamping celebration which lasts all month long on the Michaels website.   I made my version of a dry erase board.  I stamped a card stock panel with Stampendous I Love Paris and the Charm Collection stamps.  I colored the flowers with Copic markers and added a bit of Spun Sugar Distress Ink around the edges.  To add my title "Things To Do" I used letter stickers from EK Success.  Pop the card stock back in the frame and VOILA you're done!  Just write your to-do list on the glass using a dry erase marker and you'll always remember those little tasks that need to get done.

recipe: Stampendous I Love ParisCharm Collection; Studio Decor 6" x 8" black frame; EK Success Mini Black Letters SR; Recollections White Card Stock; Tsukineko Tuxedo Black, London Fog inks; Copics R83, R85, YG63; Tim Holtz Spun Sugar Distress Ink; sponge dauber; dry erase marker

All the supplies used to make this project are available at Michaels.  Be sure to check out their website and their Facebook page for daily stamping inspiration this month.  Then stop by Michaels, pick up your supplies and get inky making a gift or two.

Be sure to check out my friend, Wendy's, blog to see what gifty inspiration she has to share with you today.  And don't forget, whenever you are looking for great project ideas, you'll definitely want to check out the Stampendous blog  - there are always great projects to be found.

We're Wobble-Hoppin!

Welcome to the Stampendous and Action Wobble Hop!  I sure hope you've had a chance to check out all of the wonderful projects the the design team members from both companies have had to share this week.  I know I, for one, have been inspired.  If you've never heard of Action Wobbles, well then prepare to be impressed!  Sometimes a card just isn't complete until it wobbles!

Today I'm sharing a card with you that uses Action Wobbles and  the uber adorable Mermaid Kiddo from Stampendous.  I love all the new Kiddos!  They are so stinkin' cute - you have to check them out!  I had tons of fun playing with Stampendous Embossing Powders on this card.  I used Blue TinselStardust and Kaleidoscope powders to make the water and added Kaleidoscope to her fin and a bit of Vintage Lilac to her hair.  It's hard to tell in this photo, but the card base is a silver shimmer card stock and I spritzed Goosebumps Texture Spray to make the paper look "wet".  This is one of those cards that looks so much better in person - what a bummer....you'll just have to take my word for it!  ;-)

The cool thing about the Action Wobble, is it makes this little Kiddo look like she's floating in the water.  These things are just so much fun to play with.  You really ought to give it a try!

So, you know you want to give them a try.  How would you like to WIN a set of 6 Action Wobbles Springs and Cling Hula Kiddo?  All you have to do is leave comments all along the Hop and you'll have a chance to win!

PLUS.....because we're feeling generous, how about a SECOND CHANCE to win????

6 Action Wobble Springs and Tree Trim Kiddos!  How cute would it be to put that top Kiddo on an Action Wobble?!?

How can you win? Comment on the blogs below! At the end of the weekend (yes, you have until Sunday night) we'll choose two of the blogs below at random. They will then choose a random winner and we'll notify you here! Here's who is playing today:

It's "Wobble" Week

This week the Design Team from Stampendous has teamed up with the design team from Action Wobbles.  What's that you say?  You've never heard of Action Wobbles?  Well then, you're in for a real treat!  An Action Wobble is a really fun little "spring" type sticker that is attached to an element (in this case a stamped image) and then adhered to your card or scrapbook page.  They add a fun movement to your piece of art and bring a smile to everyone's face.  My kids were so impressed when I showed them that they had to make cards too.  They thought Action Wobbles were just about the coolest thing they have ever seen!

Today I have a Christmas card to share with you.  I first stamped the Stampendous Jumbo Santa (available at Michaels), colored the jolly old man and cut him out.  I adhered an Action Wobble to the back and then attached it to my Christmas Background.  Of course Santa needed a little bling, so I added Winter Wonderland and Red Tinsel embossing powders.  Here he is....

So, would you like to win some wobbles? Visit each of the blogs below and make a comment on each. We'll choose one blogger at random, and she'll choose one commenter at random to win 6 Action Wobbles and Halloween Sprite.

Here are the ladies that are playing along today - be sure to Wobble on over to their blogs to see what they have to share with you.  Remember to comment at each stop for more chance to win.

Oops, almost forgot....while I'm here, I thought I'd share the card my 8 year old made for Gramma for her birthday.  He used Stampendous Block Art Owls and inside stamped "Owl always love you" from Stampendous. The owl on the left is attached to an Action Wobble and when it moves she looks like she's leaning in for a kiss. TJ can hardly wait to give Gramma her card!  He's so proud of himself....not only did he get to play with Mommy's stamps, he got to wobble and use my Cuttlebug!  He told me he felt like a real artist!  We had so much fun getting inky together!

Ok, now I'm leaving!  Check out the other blogs today and then come back here on Saturday when we'll be Wobble Hopping!

Hope all is well in your corner of the world - take time to get inky today!

Stampendous and Resin Crafts are Hopping!

I'm so happy you found us today! We've been enjoying the fun crafting potential of combining our fantastic stamp images with EnviroTex Jewelry Resin from Environmental Technologies. Carmi Cimiata of the Resin Crafts Blog has helped us learn so much about how this product works, what it can and cannot do. We're so appreciative of her and the folks at ETI who sent us all some resin to play with. {big round of applause!}

As I told you yesterday, I was a bit intimidated by the resin.  But I had so much fun using the kit that I received.  I'll definitely be using resin again.  The project I have to show you today is a cuff bracelet that I made to match the ring I showed you yesterday.  The friend that I am giving this to wears a lot of black, grey and silver - so this will be perfect for her.  I kept it kind of simple, to go with her style (though I think some Stampendous Crushed Glass Glitter or Mica Fragments would be a fun addition.)

I stamped the Tiled Quad Cube with Black Staz-On ink on silver card stock, added a few black rhinestones, adhered it to the cuff bracelet and poured my resin.  Easy-peasy!  All of the materials to make these projects are available at Michaels - so now it's your turn to give it a try!

We've prepared some fantastic projects to inspire you today. We hope you'll run over to your local Michaels or other craft store and pick up some resin and some Stampendous stamps and get playing. If you make something fun, please take a picture and put it on our Facebook page! We'd love to see what you're doing!

As you visit each blog, you'll be entered in our drawing for a great prize package when you leave a comment! If you don't tell us you were there by commenting, we can't include you in the drawing! We'll pick a winner from today's comments separate from the commenters throughout the week. Get hoppin!

Stampendous/Resin Crafts Collaboration

    • The Stampendous DT is playing with EnviroTex Craft Resin this week. Carmi over at the Resin Crafts Blog is also playing along with us and all of her projects are fantastic.

I have to admit, I was a bit intimidated when I first received the resin kit that Carmi sent us.   So, I decided to start small.   I searched the aisles at Michaels looking for a great piece to work with and settled on a bezel ring. I have a friend who loves fun and funky jewelry, so this will be part of her birthday gift (I'll show you the other part tomorrow *tease*)

I stamped part of one of the images from the Stampendous Tiled Quad Cube on silver card stock using Tsukineko Staz-On black ink. I added a few black rhinestones and then held my breath while I poured the resin.  I was super excited to find out that it was easy to use and a lot of fun!  I really think my friend will love it!

I'll be back tomorrow to show you the other part of this gift set.  In the meantime, kick back with a cup of coffee or glass of iced tea and enjoy the projects that my fellow design team members and Carmi have to share with you.  I'm sure you'll be inspired to give it a try.

Important details about the prizes... . Carmi has 3 prize packages that can be won by our fans in Canada where she lives. She will draw three Canadian winners from the comments on her blog all week. Stampendous will  have 3 prize packages for our friends with US mailing addresses.

      • We'll draw one winner from the weekly comments on our blog.
      • We'll draw one winner from the comments on Saturday's Big Blog Hop
      • We'll draw one winner from Facebook - You need to SHARE one or more of our posts about this project on your Timeline **

Each prize package includes a Jewelry pack of Resin, a bottle cap, bezel and button to try, and the Stampendous Charm Collection Perfectly Clear Stamps - perfect jewelry sized stamps.

** Why do I need to SHARE the Facebook post ?  Because Facebook has changed the way they show posts from a Page to that Page’s fans. (There are millions of posts a day now!) When you “share” a post it lets Facebook know you want to see posts from us. It also tells your friends what we’re up to and extends our “reach”. Maybe they will come like us, too! That IS why we’re doing this, to meet more people! Plus when you share, it lets us see that you did, that makes it easier to pick a winner for the contest.
How do I SHARE a post? Visit our page on Facebook  – Stampendous – We’ll keep an EnviroTex post pinned at the top
it’s blue. It will pop up a window that says Share On Your Own this week – just find it and click on SHARE underneath the post, Timeline. You can write a message in the box if you like then click Share This Link. That’s it…easy!!

OK - time to me to skedaddle, friends.  And it's time for you to check out the beautiful inspiration the other girls have for you today.  See you back here tomorrow for our big Stampendous/Resin Crafts Blog Hop.  Take time to get inky today!
