Welcome to Paper Inkspirations!

Hi! My name is Krissy, welcome to my blog. I have been an avid paper-crafter for many years, my addiction started with scrapbooking and has evolved to card-making. It all started when I realized that I had forgotten to buy a card for my nephew's birthday. Looking at my ever-expanding collection of scrapbook supplies, I thought I'd made a card for him. Since then, I've been hooked on card-making and my scrapbooks have been collecting dust. Someday I'll get back to them... I have two beautiful boys and a wonderful & supportive husband and I work at the Preschool at our church. When I'm not spending time with my family or making cards, I enjoy being active in our church. Life is good! Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoy your visit.

Summer Fun with Stampendous and Dreamweaver

This week the Stampendous Design Team is combining goodies from Dreamweaver Stencils with Stampendous goodies!  What fun!  We'll be playing together all of this week, with a fabulous hop on Friday, August 2nd, featuring a slew of amazing talent from both teams, and of course...prizes!!!

Two prize packages will be given away for the comments left on posts Monday-Thursday, July 29th - August 1st, and one prize will be given away for comments left on the hop day, Friday, August 2nd. Winners will be selected randomly and announced Thursday, August 8th. (Note: USA addresses only, please, due to shipping costs.) Here's what you could win:

Are you ready to see what I've created?  I just can't get enough of this little Surfer Kiddo!  Isn't he so stinkin' cute?!?  I added a sentiment from the Soaring Sentiments set.  I tried the Double Glitter technique for the background using the Dreamweaver Waves Stencil and Blue Ultra Fine Glitter and Multi Ultra Fine Crystal Glitter.  What a fun technique, but I have to tell you I looked like I had been visited by Tinkerbell when I was done!  I had glitter all over me, but no one ever accused me of being a neat crafter! The Surfer Kiddo was colored with Spectrum Noir markers and "fussy cut".  I tore some kraft card stock to make the sand and added some more glitter.

Now it's time to check out the other blog posts for today.  I'm sure you're in for some summer lovin'!  Don't forget to leave a comment in order to be eligible for the prize package.  AND.....come back on Friday for the big Stampendous/ Dreamweaver Blog Hop.

Here's a list of who's playing along today....
Krissy Fossmeyer  - that's me!

Time for me to get movin'!  It's a busy week for our family - it's County Fair week and our oldest is a first year 4-Her.  Yesterday he won a blue ribbon for Collections and today he has judging for Cooking 101.  So, it's time for us to head up to the fairgrounds.  Hope all is well in your corner of the world.

Stampendous Sneakin' A Peek

IT'S SNEAK PEEK WEEK!!!!
(Did I get your attention?)

This week the Stampendous Design Team is sharing some of our most favorite stamps from the new catalog.  All the images are so great it was really tough to pick a favorite.  I shared a card the other day using the gorgeous Leaf Background stamp and I'll have more to share with you soon.  I had so much fun coloring the other day that I colored a whole pile of images, I just didn't get them all made into cards yet.  Stay tuned...

Today I'm sharing this card using the new Snowman Banners Perfectly Clear Stamp set.  Isn't he adorable?  He looks like he's all decked out for the holidays.  I used Shaved Ice for the snow.  LOVE that stuff!  If you haven't used it yet, you HAVE to add it to your wish list!

All of the new products will be available for purchase through the Stampendous website on July 20th and if you order before the end of July, Stampendous is offering FREE shipping on any order over $50!  The new stamps will be hitting the shelves at your local stores soon.  I know you can't wait to get your inky fingers on them!

OH!  Almost forgot!  KristineRhea and Suzanne also have sneak peeks to share with you today!  Be sure to check out what they've created!  They are all super talented!

OK, time for me to skedaddle.  Lucky this little snowguy isn't here with me today, he wouldn't last very long it's supposed to get up to 95°.  Hope all is well in your corner of the world (and that you're keeping cool!)

The Lord Bless and Keep You

On Sunday we honored our Pastor on his retirement after 43 years in the ministry, the last 33 years having been spent at our church.  He is a kind and loving man who will be missed greatly!  This is the card I made for him from our congregation.  I used the Stampendous stamp Shine on You (retired). This is my favorite benediction and one he closes the service with often.

I used paper from the DCWV Linen Closet Matstack and Bundled Sage and Peeled Paint Distress Inks. This cross brad by Recollections was the perfect finishing touch.

A few days ago I shared the card that I made for Pastor from our family.  You can find that card  HERE.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Check out the Stampendous Blog today for SNEAK PEEKS of the new July Catalog!  And stop by here again tomorrow for a card that I'm SNEAK PEEKING.

Have a great day and take time to get inky!

Stampendous Sneak Peek Week

This is an exciting week for the Stampendous Design Teams!  We get to SNEAK PEEK some of our favorite images from the new catalog.  They are ALL amazing and I would be hard-pressed to pick one favorite.  With all that fabulousness, how could I possibly pick just one?!?!?  It's like asking me which of my kids is my fave.

The card I'm sharing with you today uses the gorgeous Leaf Background stamp and the Kind Friendship sentiment.  This image was so much fun to color!  I finally spent some time playing with my Copic and Spectrum Noir markers and I have to say I'm pretty pleased with the result.  After I colored the panel, I embossed with Detail Gold Embossing Powder.  I stamped with embossed the sentiment on vellum, so I didn't cover up too much of those beautiful leaves.

Just wait until you see this new catalog.  You'll want to start you Christmas list early! Everything from the new catalog will be available for purchase through the Stampendous website on July 20th and they have FREE shipping until the end of July on any order over $50!  What a deal!

Now you get to take a peek at Suzanne's blog and see what she has to sneak peek today.  You're sure to be wow-ed by her beautiful creativity!

Time for me to skedaddle.  Hope all is well in your corner of the world.

Blessings on Your Retirement

Today at church we are celebrating with our Pastor before he retires at the end of the month.  He has been in the ministry for 43 years and at our church for the last 33 years.  He is a kind and gentle man with a loving heart.  We will all miss him!  I work at the Preschool that is at church and I just can't imagine going to work this fall and not seeing him there every day.  It will be an adjustment for many of us.  But, we know that "To everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven."

This is the card I made to give him today.  I used Stampendous Calligraphy Cross and a Stampendous Best Wishes sentiment.  The flourish is from the Damask Chair Perfectly Clear Stamp set.  The paper is from the DCWV La Creme Matstack.  I also made a card to give him from the congregation, I'll share that in a few days.

Be sure to stop by again tomorrow when I'll be sharing a SNEAK PEEK from the Stampendous July catalog!  Just wait till you see the new images!  WOW is all I can say!!!

Time for me to finish getting ready for church, better make sure I grab some extra Kleenex - I think I'll need it today!

Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Hi Mermaid Kiddo!

My boys keep asking to go outside and play in the sprinkler today - it's a beautiful day here!  They love to be in the water during the summer.  If they were girls, I'd swear they were mermaids!

Speaking of mermaids, I have a little cutie to share with you today.  I love this Mermaid Kiddo stamp by Stampendous!  Isn't she adorable?  I paired her up with a sentiment from the Happy Messages Perfectly Clear stampe set.  This would be a fun card to send a little girl for her birthday or a not-so-little girl just for a quick hello.  I colored this cutie with my Prismacolor pencils and added some Stampendous Aged Silver Embossing Enamel and Blue Tinsel Embossing Powder.  I though it was a fun way to mimic water and bubbles.  A few drops of Baby Blue Liquid Pearls and she is ready to go for a swim.

This was a fun card to create, I hope I've inspired you to give it a try.  All the supplies used to make it are available at Michaels stores - so what are you waiting for?  It's time to go shopping!

Before I go, I have to tell you that soon we will be "sneak peeking" the new Stampendous catalog.  Just wait till you see all the incredible new stamps! They will all be available July 20th on the Stampendous website.  PLUS Stampendous is offering FREE shipping until the end of July on any order over $50!  How great is that?

OK, time for me to get that sprinkler set up for my little Mer-boys.

Hope all is well in your little corner of the world!
