Welcome to Paper Inkspirations!

Hi! My name is Krissy, welcome to my blog. I have been an avid paper-crafter for many years, my addiction started with scrapbooking and has evolved to card-making. It all started when I realized that I had forgotten to buy a card for my nephew's birthday. Looking at my ever-expanding collection of scrapbook supplies, I thought I'd made a card for him. Since then, I've been hooked on card-making and my scrapbooks have been collecting dust. Someday I'll get back to them... I have two beautiful boys and a wonderful & supportive husband and I work at the Preschool at our church. When I'm not spending time with my family or making cards, I enjoy being active in our church. Life is good! Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoy your visit.

Christmas Hugs to You!

Today I'm sharing a card with the super-cute Stampendous Kiddo Toyland. The sentiment is from the Stampendous Toy Train stamp set. All of the supplies used to make this card are available at Michaels.

I just love this little kiddo.  I thought I'd try something different with this card and stayed away from traditional Christmas colors.  I had so much fun making this one.  The papers in the DCWV Holiday stack are all so pretty and fun to mix and match.  After coloring the image with my Copic markers, I added a bit of Stampendous Crystal Embossing Powder.

This card is for a very special little girl.  One of the 3 year olds at the Preschool where I work, was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 liver cancer and is currently undergoing treatment.  We've been sending her cards to keep her spirits up and this one will soon make it's way to her mailbox.  If you could please keep her in your thoughts and prayers it would be appreciated.

Thank you for stopping by today!

Boo to You!

BOO!!!
Did I scare you?  Probably not and I'm sure this little cutie won't scare you either.

The card I'm sharing today features the super adorable Stampendous Pumpkin Kiddo.  She's too cute to spook!  And I'm sure she won't be pulling any tricks, she's all about the treats!  I also inked up the Stampendous Haunting Background.  I love the look of white ink on the black card stock.  And I found this really fun Halloween ribbon at Michaels.

If you want to see more cute creations featuring the Stampendous Halloween Kiddos, stop by the Stampendous blog to see which other team members and projects to share with you.

Thanks for stopping by today!  It's rainy in our neighborhood today, not prime trick-or-treating weather - but it's a great day to get inky!

Happy Halloween!!!

Stampendous is Stuck on Scrapbook Adhesives

The folks at Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L have very generously shared some of their fabulous products with the Stampendous design teams.  Their products are great to work with!  On this card I used their E-Z Dots Permanent Adhesive and 3-D Foam Squares in Black.  The E-Z Dots have quickly become my favorite tape runner-type adhesive.  They are easy to use and I love that the dispenser is refillable!  The 3-D Foam Squares are the perfect size and I love that they are available in black!  You should really check out all of their products!

Stampendous Travels Down Maya Road

This week the Stampendous design teams had the opportunity to incorporate Maya Road supplies into our projects.  HOW FUN!

I decided to use the Maya Road Jonathan Chipboard Alphabet.  I inked up the letters with VersaMark ink and sprinkled on Stampendous Carnelian PEARLustre Embossing Powder and heat set it.  I love this color!  I reach for it often - if you don't have it, I think you probably need it, just say'n.

On the card base, I stamped Stampendous Jumbo Leaves with VersaMagic Red Brick and Gingerbread inks.  The main image is the adorable Stampendous Cling Leaf Girl Kiddo, which I colored with Copics.  I think she is just so stinkin' cute!

This card was so much fun to create and I loved working with the Maya Road chipboard letters.  I have so many ideas on what to do with the rest of the alphabet!  Stay tuned for more!

Be sure to check out Janelle and Lea's blogs today - they're sharing Stampendous and Maya Roads goodies also!  Plus swing by the Stampendous Blog to see what creative inspiration is waiting for you there.  Then, stop by again on Friday for our big blog hop!  You'll definitely be inspired!

Well friends, time for me to scoot!  It's been so hot here lately - I am definitely ready for fall!  I'm looking forward to bundling up in a sweatshirt like this little kiddo and playing in the leaves!

Thanks for stopping by today, hope all is well in your corner of the world.

Hi Mermaid Kiddo!

My boys keep asking to go outside and play in the sprinkler today - it's a beautiful day here!  They love to be in the water during the summer.  If they were girls, I'd swear they were mermaids!

Speaking of mermaids, I have a little cutie to share with you today.  I love this Mermaid Kiddo stamp by Stampendous!  Isn't she adorable?  I paired her up with a sentiment from the Happy Messages Perfectly Clear stampe set.  This would be a fun card to send a little girl for her birthday or a not-so-little girl just for a quick hello.  I colored this cutie with my Prismacolor pencils and added some Stampendous Aged Silver Embossing Enamel and Blue Tinsel Embossing Powder.  I though it was a fun way to mimic water and bubbles.  A few drops of Baby Blue Liquid Pearls and she is ready to go for a swim.

This was a fun card to create, I hope I've inspired you to give it a try.  All the supplies used to make it are available at Michaels stores - so what are you waiting for?  It's time to go shopping!

Before I go, I have to tell you that soon we will be "sneak peeking" the new Stampendous catalog.  Just wait till you see all the incredible new stamps! They will all be available July 20th on the Stampendous website.  PLUS Stampendous is offering FREE shipping until the end of July on any order over $50!  How great is that?

OK, time for me to get that sprinkler set up for my little Mer-boys.

Hope all is well in your little corner of the world!

We're Wobble-Hoppin!

Welcome to the Stampendous and Action Wobble Hop!  I sure hope you've had a chance to check out all of the wonderful projects the the design team members from both companies have had to share this week.  I know I, for one, have been inspired.  If you've never heard of Action Wobbles, well then prepare to be impressed!  Sometimes a card just isn't complete until it wobbles!

Today I'm sharing a card with you that uses Action Wobbles and  the uber adorable Mermaid Kiddo from Stampendous.  I love all the new Kiddos!  They are so stinkin' cute - you have to check them out!  I had tons of fun playing with Stampendous Embossing Powders on this card.  I used Blue TinselStardust and Kaleidoscope powders to make the water and added Kaleidoscope to her fin and a bit of Vintage Lilac to her hair.  It's hard to tell in this photo, but the card base is a silver shimmer card stock and I spritzed Goosebumps Texture Spray to make the paper look "wet".  This is one of those cards that looks so much better in person - what a bummer....you'll just have to take my word for it!  ;-)

The cool thing about the Action Wobble, is it makes this little Kiddo look like she's floating in the water.  These things are just so much fun to play with.  You really ought to give it a try!

So, you know you want to give them a try.  How would you like to WIN a set of 6 Action Wobbles Springs and Cling Hula Kiddo?  All you have to do is leave comments all along the Hop and you'll have a chance to win!

PLUS.....because we're feeling generous, how about a SECOND CHANCE to win????
