Welcome to Paper Inkspirations!

Hi! My name is Krissy, welcome to my blog. I have been an avid paper-crafter for many years, my addiction started with scrapbooking and has evolved to card-making. It all started when I realized that I had forgotten to buy a card for my nephew's birthday. Looking at my ever-expanding collection of scrapbook supplies, I thought I'd made a card for him. Since then, I've been hooked on card-making and my scrapbooks have been collecting dust. Someday I'll get back to them... I have two beautiful boys and a wonderful & supportive husband and I work at the Preschool at our church. When I'm not spending time with my family or making cards, I enjoy being active in our church. Life is good! Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoy your visit.

Take time to get inky today....

Peacock Feather

This is a card I made a long time ago and for some reason it never got posted.  It's one I made for Michaels and is featured on their website.  Here's the link to the directions and supply list.  All of the supplies used to make this card are available at Michaels.

All of the supplies are by Stampendous I stamped the Peacock Feather with VersaMark ink and then heat embossed with Blueberry, Shamrock and Sapphire Pearl Embossing Powders by Recollections and Blue Blaze Sparkle Embossing Powder by Recollections.  Combining different colors when you heat emboss is so much fun and you'll get a different result every time.  The sentiment is from the Stampendous Happy Messages Perfectly Clear stamp set.

This is a quick and easy card to make and a good one to mass produce.  When I make a card like this, I like to make a few extra, but not stamp the sentiment.  That way, when I need a card (for whatever occasion) all I have to do is add the greeting, sign my name and it's good to go.  Great to have on hand - just in case!

Time for me to scoot - hope all is well in your corner of the world.

Take time to get inky today!
