Welcome to Paper Inkspirations!

Hi! My name is Krissy, welcome to my blog. I have been an avid paper-crafter for many years, my addiction started with scrapbooking and has evolved to card-making. It all started when I realized that I had forgotten to buy a card for my nephew's birthday. Looking at my ever-expanding collection of scrapbook supplies, I thought I'd made a card for him. Since then, I've been hooked on card-making and my scrapbooks have been collecting dust. Someday I'll get back to them... I have two beautiful boys and a wonderful & supportive husband and I work at the Preschool at our church. When I'm not spending time with my family or making cards, I enjoy being active in our church. Life is good! Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoy your visit.

Take time to get inky today....

Hats off to you, Grad!

Graduation is this weekend at our local high school.  I don't personally know any of the kids in the graduating class, so this card will sit in my stash for awhile.  My goal in making this card was to make it look like all the graduating seniors had tossed their mortar boards up in the air at the end of the ceremony.

To make the clouds, I used a piece of scrap cardstock and cut one edge with scalloped scissors to mimic a cloud.  Then I lightly sponged around this template with blue ink in a random pattern.

This card is another one that I created for Michaels, so all the supplies to make this can be purchased there.  I hope you'll want to rush out and buy the supplies to make this card for the graduates in your life.

recipe:  Stampendous Grad Cap, Orchid Greetings; Recollections White Blank Card & Envelope, White cardstock; ProvoCraft Scalloped Scissors; Tim Holtz Distress Inks Tumbled Glass; Sponge Dauber; Tsukineko Tuxedo Black ink

Honestly, I usually don't like many of the grad cards I see, but this one I really like! It's simple, clean and you know exactly what it is for without it smacking you in the face with 1,000 elements representing the grad. You did a great job with this! Hope you are doing OK. Bes,t Curt
