For my project today, I'm sharing the bird house I made for a friend. She collects the little humble abodes, and I wanted to make one to add to her collection. This birdhouse was also part of Michaels' Stamptember event. All the supplies to make this project are available at Michaels. After I painted this wooden birdhouse with a cream colored paint, I dabbed paint on my Stampendous Cling Jumbo Peony and Lone Bird stamps and stamped them directly on the birdhouse. When the paint was dry, I added the little picket fence around it and added a few silk flowers.

I have to say I really like the way it turned out. My youngest son, fell in love with it too, and even asked if he could keep it in his bedroom - which amazed me since he usually freaks out about the color pink (it's for girls only, you know!) So, I think I'll be making another one of these for his room.

This is sooooo wonderful! I would display it proudly on a table surrounded by pretty green plants (most in my house are brown) and seashells. The picket fence with flowers is an adorable idea...any bird would be proud to live in such a decked out home.
