Welcome to Paper Inkspirations!
Hi! My name is Krissy, welcome to my blog. I have been an avid paper-crafter for many years, my addiction started with scrapbooking and has evolved to card-making. It all started when I realized that I had forgotten to buy a card for my nephew's birthday. Looking at my ever-expanding collection of scrapbook supplies, I thought I'd made a card for him. Since then, I've been hooked on card-making and my scrapbooks have been collecting dust. Someday I'll get back to them... I have two beautiful boys and a wonderful & supportive husband and I work at the Preschool at our church. When I'm not spending time with my family or making cards, I enjoy being active in our church. Life is good! Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoy your visit.
Take time to get inky today....

I'm late!
I love this cuckoo clock image by Hero Arts. I initially got it because I had forgotten to make birthday cards for my brother and my brother-in-law (who both happen to have the same birthday, April 1st. What are the chances of that?) This card was for my BIL, my brother's was a bit different, I'll post that another time. Inside this card I used the computer to print "Oops! I'm late! Hope you're birthday was happy!"
I colored the image twice using my Prismacolor pencils and then cut one of the images apart and layered them with pop-dots. This is a nice way to create dimension, without the added bulk of a ribbon.
I like to use the computer to customize the insides of my cards. A lot of times I have a hard time finding just the right sentiment on a stamp, so I make my own on the computer.
recipe: stamp: Hero Arts Cuckoo; paper DCWV neutral stack, Prismacolor pencils, Goo-Gone, Tortillons; Crystal glaze, Sakura Star Gel Pen
Thanks for popping in! Take time to be creative today!
