Welcome to Paper Inkspirations!

Hi! My name is Krissy, welcome to my blog. I have been an avid paper-crafter for many years, my addiction started with scrapbooking and has evolved to card-making. It all started when I realized that I had forgotten to buy a card for my nephew's birthday. Looking at my ever-expanding collection of scrapbook supplies, I thought I'd made a card for him. Since then, I've been hooked on card-making and my scrapbooks have been collecting dust. Someday I'll get back to them... I have two beautiful boys and a wonderful & supportive husband and I work at the Preschool at our church. When I'm not spending time with my family or making cards, I enjoy being active in our church. Life is good! Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoy your visit.

Take time to get inky today....

Changito Skates

Hopefully we're done with snow here in the Chicago-area. I, for one, am ready for Spring to stay! However, this little Changito decided to go skating today. I've had this stamp set for awhile, but it the first time I've gotten it inky.

Once again, this card is for the Stampendous Sketch Challenge. I've really had a lot of fun working on my entries for this week. I've been trying to step outside my "comfort zone" and combine patterned papers. In the past, I've just used one pattern at a time unless it was 2-sided paper and obviously coordinated. For this card I used the DCWV Holiday Stack. What a beautiful collection of paper! It was fun to make a Christmas/Winter card that wasn't red and green. I really like this color combination. I hope you do too!

recipe: Stamps: Stampendous Changito Snowplay; paper: Grafix Clear Craft Plastic; Tsukineko Graphite Black ink; Prismacolor Pencils, Goo-Gone, Tortillons; Crystal Stickles; Hero Arts Gemstones; JoAnn's Ribbons; Liquid Applique; Fiskars Border Punch; Martha Stewart Snowflake Punch
