Welcome to Paper Inkspirations!

Hi! My name is Krissy, welcome to my blog. I have been an avid paper-crafter for many years, my addiction started with scrapbooking and has evolved to card-making. It all started when I realized that I had forgotten to buy a card for my nephew's birthday. Looking at my ever-expanding collection of scrapbook supplies, I thought I'd made a card for him. Since then, I've been hooked on card-making and my scrapbooks have been collecting dust. Someday I'll get back to them... I have two beautiful boys and a wonderful & supportive husband and I work at the Preschool at our church. When I'm not spending time with my family or making cards, I enjoy being active in our church. Life is good! Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoy your visit.

Take time to get inky today....

Skating Changito

ETA:  Good News!  This was one of the two cards that were winners for this week's challenge!

I had a fun day today making two cards for this week's Stampendous Saturday Sketch Challenge (see details here).  If you haven't already, take a look at this week's sketch and see what you are inspired to create.  This is the second time I'm participating, I've had good intentions every week, but sometimes life gets in the way.  Oh well!  Today I was determined to get these two cards completed.  It was fun, the boys sat at the table with me and played with my Marvy Punches.  They thought that was big fun!

Anyway, back to the card.  This is the second time I've made a card using this stamp and these same papers.  I love these papers together.  In the past I've had difficulty using two or more patterned papers together, but have found that if I use a DCWV stack it's much easier since the papers are all coordinated.  The large pink snowflake was done by hand the old-fashioned way since I don't have a Cuttlebug or other die-cutting system.  It was fun to make snowflakes in July!

I added Liquid Applique in a few places on Changito.  I thought he needed a little "fluff".  And glitter was the perfect finishing touch for the gift box.

Well, friends, better get going for tonight.  It's about time to put the kiddies to bed, and I think I won't be far behind.  All this creating wiped me out today.  More to come tomorrow.  Hope you'll take time to get inky!
