Welcome to Paper Inkspirations!

Hi! My name is Krissy, welcome to my blog. I have been an avid paper-crafter for many years, my addiction started with scrapbooking and has evolved to card-making. It all started when I realized that I had forgotten to buy a card for my nephew's birthday. Looking at my ever-expanding collection of scrapbook supplies, I thought I'd made a card for him. Since then, I've been hooked on card-making and my scrapbooks have been collecting dust. Someday I'll get back to them... I have two beautiful boys and a wonderful & supportive husband and I work at the Preschool at our church. When I'm not spending time with my family or making cards, I enjoy being active in our church. Life is good! Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoy your visit.

Take time to get inky today....

Jingle Bell Elf

Is this little elf just the cutest thing?  I have a feeling he and his little buddy, Santa, will seeing a lot of ink between now and Christmas!  He's just so stinkin' cute!

This is another of my entries for the Stampendous Saturday Sketch Challenge.  I stretched my limits and "thought outside the box" on this one.  I didn't want to used buttons or snowflakes in the upper left corner....but what was going to work?  All of the sudden I thought "Jingle Bells!"  I love the way they look on this card and how they tie into the jingle bell on the tip of this little guy's hat.

I find that in the few weeks I've been participating in this Sketch Challenge I'm getting more adventurous when it comes to mixing patterned papers.  Of course, DCWV makes it so easy if you use one of their wonderful stacks.  They take all the thought out of it!  The hardest decision is which beautiful paper to choose!

Take time to get inky today!  Check out this week's sketch and see what you create.

I love how your card came together. The jingle bells...simply brilliant. Do I have some in my ever-expanding supply collection?...yes. Would I have thought to use them?...not in a million years. This is a great card.
